Tere’s Latin Market

On Saturday, Sammy and I went to Tere’s Latin Market in search of Peruvian snacks!  Our show featuring the culture of Peru is coming soon, and we wanted to learn more.  The market was a really cool because we found snacks from many different Latin countries like Mexico, El Salvador, Ecuador, and Peru. The people running the market were friendly and happy to answer our questions.  They showed us a whole isle of food from Peru!

We decided to get plantain chips from Ecuador, Gansitos (chocolate covered cake with cream and jelly) from Mexico, coconut banderitos (Mexican flags), Margarita vanilla cookies from Peru, and Pepa Doña (chocolate coated cookies) from Peru.

My favorite snack from Mexico!

Trying Pico Sitos Chili Powder

I liked the Gansitos best
because I LOVE chocolate!  Sammy liked the plantain chips and banderitos best.  Thank you for joining us on our live streams!  You asked us really great questions and we had fun answering!  Thank you for the suggestions of where we should go next.  We will try to find stores that feature snacks from the Philippines and England!

Join us this week as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with food from Ireland!

Dig in!
