Hi Sup'er! πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ³πŸ‘¨πŸ½β€πŸ³ Sammy is on his own today making Alfajores. These cookies were brought to South America via Spain, but have origins in the Middle East. Some say the Moors brought a version of this cookie, called Alfajor, to Spain during their 800 year rule....

Day 2: Scottish Shortbread

Hi Sup'er! πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ³πŸ‘¨πŸ½β€πŸ³ Shortbread has been in Scotland since the 12th century! These delicious biscuits were even a favorite of Mary, Queen of Scots (16th century) and it is easy to see why. Today, these buttery biscuits are made for special occasions like Christmas, New...

Hi Sup'er! πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ³πŸ‘¨πŸ½β€πŸ³ Ok, so we all love the beloved butternut squash, especially in the Fall and Winter. We will be using this squash in Three Sisters Soup later this month...and Sammy loves to roast it with apples and brown sugar. Yum! It is full of fiber, vitamin C,...

Hi Friend!

For about 3 years, Sammy (my brother) and I have been learning to make recipes from all over the world. We began with chefs teaching us how to make recipes from their cultures like Hawaiian, Peruvian, Sicilian, German, West African and more (see these shows on our YouTube channel). While we still love to learn from chefs, we have become young chefs in our own right. Now, every week, we teach our friends how to make a different recipe from a different culture by posting video cooking tutorials. We have learned how to make over 40 recipes and counting!

Sup! has inspired us that kids can prepare a full, nutritious, and delicious meal! Additionally, we can learn so much from the food we make, including but not limited to, cultural traditions, language, geography, science, nutrition, and more. Our hope is that our audience feels inspired and empowered to explore and engage in the world around them after hanging out with us!

Sup! is produced by Global Knickers and Mass Communication students at the Community College of Baltimore County.

Thank you for making your way to Sup!
